Matrixport Now Supports Sharkfin Products
Shark Fin Product is a wealth management product that helps you generate a positive yield in every market scenario. With a built-in Options-Fixed Income mechanism, the innovative financial product helps maximize the profit if BTC trades within a specific range over a specified period of time.
For example, an investor purchased a Shark Fin Product with the floor and ceiling prices at $9,750 and $11,750 respectively. Over the life of the product (i.e. tenor is six days) if BTC trades either below $9,750 or above $11,750, you would receive 3% APY. If the market price of the BTC only trades between $9,750 and $10,750, the investor would derive profits up to 25.5% APY when the product expires. The closer the Settlement Price of BTC is to 11,750, the higher return investors will earn. The profits earned by the investor at the end of six days are shown in the diagram below.
From the above diagram, the shape of the return profile resembles the fin of a shark, which explains why such a product is termed a “Shark Fin Product”.
In the Matrixport App, you will find the below terms to help you understand the payout scheme：
◆ Observation Period: Sep.2oth 00:00 ~ Sep.25th 16:00(UTC+8).
◆ If the BTC price has ever been ≦9,750 or ≧11,750 within the observation period, investors will earn a 3% ARR when the product expires.
◆ If the BTC price constantly stays within 9,750~11,750, investors will earn a 22.5%~25.5% ARR when the product expires. The closer the Settlement Price is to 11,750, the higher return investors will earn.

◆ Settlement Price: the average of BTC Index price over the last 30 minutes before 16:00(UTC+8) on next Friday.
◆ Sale for a limited time: available on Saturday till 23:59 UTC+8.
