Bitcoin just posted a fresh all-time high, yet momentum feels strangely fragile. Key indicators that once fueled durable rallies are flashing mixed signals, raising questions about whether this move has staying power. Debt issuance, seasonal headwinds, and shifting on-chain dynamics are colliding in ways the market hasn’t seen in years. Some metrics hint at profit-taking beneath the surface, while others suggest the bull market’s core engine is still intact. The gap between short-term enthusiasm and long-term conviction is narrowing quickly — and the next few weeks could prove decisive.

Our trading stance has remained relatively cautious over the past six weeks, as the recent Bitcoin breakout attempt lacked the conviction and follow-through of previous sustainable rallies. The timing felt off, and key indicators that typically support a strong upward move were missing. It’s therefore unsurprising that Bitcoin remains range-bound. We believe it’s worth reassessing downside risk signals to determine when a more defensive posture is warranted. While Bitcoin did register a new all-time high last week, on-chain data may provide better insight into the market’s true health and momentum.
